FARIBAULT, MINN. - Shattuck-St. Mary’s Girls U17 goalkeeper Nadia Cooper ‘21 received her fourth national team call up in the past 14 months on Monday, April 29 as USA Soccer announced the U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team roster for the upcoming UEFA Women’s International Development Tournament.
FARIBAULT, MINN. - With almost two months of play under their belts, the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Girls Soccer Center of Excellence is continuing to gain experience as they head into their second season as part of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. The two months have also allowed the new coaches within the program to adjust to the “Sabre Way”.

SIOUX FALLS, SD - While most students, faculty and staff are enjoying summer vacation, a number of the Shattuck-St. Mary's girls' soccer program have been busy making history. An unexpected wild card bid gave the U-19 team an extra shot at advancing to the Region II Championships in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and the Sabres have taken full advantage of that opportunity by advancing to the semi-final for the girls time in the history of the girls' program.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – After almost a month since their last game, the Shattuck-St. Mary’s girls U18 soccer team got back to the turf this past weekend as they took part in the Eden Prairie Showcase in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The Shattuck-St. Mary’s U18 girls took to the road this past weekend for their first slate of Midwest Regional League games in their fall season. The 18s returned 11 players from last year’s rosters, while welcoming 8 new players into the mix.
Coming off a difficult weekend in which the Shattuck-St. Mary’s U17 girls soccer team struggled with hot conditions and several injuries en route to a 0-3 weekend at the Adidas Blue Chip Showcase, the Sabres looked to get back on track with three Midwest Regional League games as a part of their Crossroads Showcase schedule in Indianapolis, IN.
Coming off a somewhat underwhelming end to the 2015 campaign, the Shattuck-St. Mary’s U17 girls soccer team was looking to get back to their usual fast-paced, aggressive form to start the 2016 portion of their season. A weekend showcase followed by a home weekend of friendlies proved to be just the antidote they needed.
A combined Shattuck team of U17s and U18s squared off this past weekend in the SLSG Fall Classic & Girls Showcase, an event that annually draws many of the top clubs and college coaches from the Midwest and it’s surrounding areas.
The Shattuck-St. Mary’s U17 girls soccer team hosted Iowa Rush over Fall Family Weekend, and the parents/friends in attendance were not left disappointed in a game featuring a lot of momentum swings and lots of action.
Coming just six short days after a successful 2-0 away trip for the 17s that saw them earn their first six points of the fall Midwest Regional League season, the Sabres were looking to have two more good showings as they traveled to Overland Park, KS.
The U-17 Girls travelled to the Blue Chip Showcase in Oxford, Ohio last weekend and faced challenges with less than optimal playing surfaces, heat, rain, illness, injuries and some top level opposition as well.
On April 6, 2015, Sarah Melhorn joined the Girls Soccer Center of Excellence as an Assistant Coach. Sarah is a Minnesota native from White Bear Lake and returns to her home state after serving this past year as the Assistant Coach at Youngstown State University in Ohio.
The SSM Girls U-17 soccer team traveled to Richmond, Virginia to compete in the Jefferson Cup Showcase March 20-22 where they were seen by over 120 college coaches including top programs such as North Carolina, Florida, Virginia or Notre Dame.
Shattuck-St. Mary's School announced today that Sue Vodicka will be joining the Girls Soccer program as it expands to add a third team in 2015. For the first time in its history, the Girls Soccer program will feature U16, U17, and U18 teams.
