FARIBAULT, MINN. - The Shattuck-St. Mary's Boys U15 soccer team persevered through adverse conditions to come away with a 3-2 victory over Minnesota United on Sunday. A goal by Ezekiel Agyemang ’22 opened the scoring for SSM in the 18th minute. This was quickly followed by a penalty kick for Minnesota, which they converted in the 20th minute to tie the game. Agyemang scored again in the 29th minute to put the Sabres up 2-1 going into halftime.
The Sabres started the second half off well, with a great goal from Andrew Oh ’22 off of a Sabre corner kick in the 50th minute. However, Minnesota answered back again, this time in the 53rd minute. Behind a strong performance by the back line and goalkeeper Tenzing Manske ’22, SSM was able to hang on and secure victory on the day.
The U15’s next match will be on the road against Toronto FC on October 27th.
