FARIBAULT, MINN. - Former teammates Aerin Frankel ‘17 and Maureen Murphy ‘17 are continuing their successful Sabre ways in their sophomore seasons at the Division I level and people are noticing.
With Frankel’s amazing work in net for Northeastern and Murphy’s 20 goals for Providence, the two have been put on “Kaz Watch” for the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award. The prestigious award, given out during the annual NCAA Women’s Frozen Four, is award to the top player in Division I women’s hockey. Former Sabres Brianna Decker '09 and Amanda Kessel '10 both received the award in their college careers.
