FARIBAULT, MINN. – Continuing their 10-game homestand, the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Boys U14 hockey team faced off against the Colorado Thunderbirds in a three-game series this past weekend in Faribault, Minn.
SSM won all three games by scores of 7-1, 5-0, and 6-0. Goaltenders Jeremy Carpenter ‘23 and Florian Wade ’23 each recorded a shutout behind a solid defensive effort from the Sabres who allowed only one goal against the entire weekend. Philippe Lalonde ‘23 and Ty Henricks ‘23 each recorded a hat-trick on the weekend, and Gracyn Sawchyn ‘23 scored two goals on Saturday.
The Sabres will finish their homestand against local teams Edina and Chaska this coming weekend before traveling to Chicago on Nov. 15 to compete against the Chicago Mission.
