FARIBAULT, MN - Beginning their six-game homestand for the month of April, the Shattuck-St. Mary’s Boys U15 soccer team hosted St. Louis Scott Gallagher - Metro and St. Louis Scott Gallagher - Missouri this past weekend in Development Academy play.
The Sabres hit the turf strong in their first contest on Saturday against St. Louis Scott Gallagher - Metro. Gavin Pankey ‘19 scored the first goal for SSM off a pass from Cade Looker ‘20 in the 15th minute. Ten minutes later, Jason Plude ‘19 scored his first DA goal of the year on a one-time finish on the top right corner of the goal. Looker sealed the Sabre 3-0 victory in the 30th minute of the second half with a header off a corner kick from Brandon Cobb ‘19. Goaltender Christian Burkhart ‘19 recorded the shutout.
On Sunday, SSM was silenced by St. Louis Scott Gallagher - Missouri, falling 2-0.Boys U15 will continue DA play on their home turf on April 22 against FC United Soccer Club.
