The Shattuck-St. Mary's Girls Development Academy has announced its prospect Identification Camp dates for the 2018-2019 season. As a founding member of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, SSM will offer these six ID camps over the course of eight months to allow players interested for selection its full-time residential academy program in each of its age groups.

U.S. Soccer initiated the Development Academy program to provide a truly elite level platform that provides for the education, support, and resources that allow clubs to produce world-class soccer players. The DA strives to improve the quality of coaching available to players, create a strong connection to our youth national teams, provide proper training to game ratios and establish a consistent, competitive environment in which player development is the center piece.

The traditional summer tryout model for player selection will not be used for the DA, instead, players will be invited through a combination of scouting and participation in the established Player Identification events. These weekends will typically consist of three days of three training sessions or two training sessions and a game. Prospects will be immersed in the SSM environment to learn about the unique benefits a DA program in a residential academy setting can provide.
