Boys U15 Team to Replace Boys U16AAA

FARIBAULT, MINN. - The Shattuck-St. Mary’s Hockey Center of Excellence will field a U15 team starting in for the 2018-2019 school year. This team will take the place of the current U16AAA team, so the total number of teams in the program will remain seven (Girls U16, Girls U19 Prep, Boys U14, Boys U15, Boys U16, Boys U18 AAA, Boys U18 Prep).

The fall tryout process for the midget-aged players (03, 02, 01, 00 birth years) will remain the same. While the U15 team will be comprised of 2003 players, this does not mean that a 2003 birth year player cannot play on one of the other three midget teams.

The U15 team will participate each year in the Minnesota Hockey U15 playoffs downs to represent the Minnesota district at the National Championships beginning in April 2019. Other team particulars will be communicated in the coming weeks.

This change has been contemplated for the past year in consultation with Minnesota Hockey and USA Hockey, and will position our Hockey Center of Excellence to remain the premier hockey program in the world.
