Four Sabres Receive All-NAPHL Honors

FAIRBAULT, MN - On Wednesday, Shattuck-St. Mary’s Midget AAA players Brent Schuldhaus ‘17, Jake Vaughan ‘18, Peter White ‘17 and Thomas Lalonde ‘18 were announced as members of the 2016-17 All-NAPHL teams by the North American Prospects Hockey League.

Schuldhaus, Vaughan, and Lalonde, all of whom were named to the NAPHL All-Star game earlier this season, received spots the All-NAPHL 1st and 2nd teams. Defenseman Schuldhaus, who was named All-NAPHL 1st Team, finished the season 1-10-11 in 50 games. Vaughan and Lalonde both received All-NAPHL 2nd Team honors. Vaughan, a forward, finished 21-23-44 on the season, while goaltender Lalonde ended the season with 18 wins, nine losses, and four shutouts.

All three Sabres were also named to the 18U All-NAPHL Academic Team, along with Peter White ‘17, who went 31-31-32 on the season.

These four guys are all very deserving of the league recognition they have gotten. They all played consistently at a high level and were major contributors to any success we had. The work ethic they showed on a daily basis is a big reason why,” said Midget AAA head coach, Pat Cullen.
